  2. heavens‚Äîthe personal computer has just about 
  3. devastated North American business life. It‚Äôs 
  4. utterly ruined the old pattern and instituted whole 
  5. new patterns of its own; it‚Äôs changed an awful lot 
  6. of people‚Äôs relation to work; it‚Äôs allowed cottage 
  7. industry to develop. People work at home, I work at 
  8. home, a lot of people work at home. So that is at 
  9. war with the motorcar. It‚Äôs had a big effect on the 
  10. car, a big effect, in changing our preferences for 
  11. space.  About 20 years ago people still liked the 
  12. very large roomy boxes on wheels. That‚Äôs largely 
  13. gone now because of the intimacy of these new 
  14. media, they don‚Äôt like those big empty spaces.
